For our first Calendar Desktop pix of 2020, just finished up a idea that I'd sketched for December - though couldn't use it then and keep Rudie for a bit of a Xmas surprise... But Y'know, the mistletoe thing isn't just for Xmas, it works just as well on New Year's Eve – or so I'm told... (It's Never worked at all for me... Drat!) So here we find Rudy with a Miffy Angel puppet on New Year's Eve, waitin' up for... um, someone...
Last fall, in a flurry of hack writing, I scribbled out about ten Rudie pages - so perhaps we may see more of her when some other odd holiday rolls around... Or maybe not – it somewhat depends upon reader response - if any...
And now in 2020 we have another whole new year to look forward to: Perhaps, if (Moscow Mitch) McConnell gets his way (and he usually does) – we'll see a Show-Trial in the Senate, with No Witnesses... No Testimony... No Deliberation... – Sort'a like the Trial in Alice in Wonderland, "Verdict First - Evidence Never!"
Then events in the Gulf seem to be heating towards another war – Thanks in part, to the non-negotiating non-expertise of that "Stable Genius" in the White House... (the guy managing your local 7-11 could probably do better)...
Yep, 2020 will be a more dangerous world, especially for your kids – the GOP Senate has blocked all legislation to prevent school shootings – or reform Health Care – or protect our Elections from interference by *Ahem* Foreign Enemies – While that same "Stable Genius" has trashed pollution regulations, so your kids will also have filthier air to breathe!
And then there's the upcoming election in November (If we last that long)... JQ
