Welcome to the September 2001 VJ Day Calendar:
Bunnies aT War
Considering the general lack of enthusiasm for our previous VE Day calendars, we sort’a figured, “Hey We’re on a Roll!” And so we present, Something not Quite Entirely Different... Our VJ Day Calendar for September..!!
And this time around we Salute those Bodaceous Battling Bunny Babes (and Kits) of the near Legendary ‘Bunnies aT War’ Comix - complete with three cover recreations, meticulously reproduced by Sean and I, from the original artwork...
(for those Nit-Pickers out there - Yes we know that W.W.II officially ended in August of 1945... However the VJ days were not declared until various times in September...
(Note #1: The US, Britain & USSR all selected different days for their respective celebrations)
(Note #2: This somewhat stymied the French, who felt that they couldn’t thumb their noses at the Allies by picking their own VJ Day if everyone else already had different VJ Days - So in a huff, they decided not to celebrate it at all... an Y’know, nobody much cared)...
Mac & Win Calendars are slightly different sizes to reflect the commonly used resolutions on those platforms - though you can use any of them on either platform if you like - of course it's usually best to match sizes to your own monitor resolution...
As for Linux, Sun or BeBoxs - or whatever - I guess you have to do the best you can... (If anyone out there is using the Calendars on any of these, drop a line & let me know - okay..?)
